Get to know me.

My name is Amy, editing under the business name amyedits, and I’m situated in the Greater Manchester area of the UK. My passion is working with self-publishing writers and independent publishers – with a particular proclivity to the literary horror & fantasy genres with monstrous word counts – and creating editing experiences that are as easy, affordable, and professional as possible. I have a passion for helping authors achieve their writing and publishing dreams; I am always honoured to help a client improve their writing and be a part of their publishing journeys.

I am all-in with my editing career. This is my full-time employment, and I endeavour to make long standing commitments to long-term projects. I am an editor, but all my clients gain me first and foremost as a pillar of support throughout the writing process. Communication will never waver if I am on your team.

Having obtained my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees – and the skills that come with them – I am now proud to be a small business owner providing editing services to writers everywhere. I aspired to create a service that assured the process of securing editing work be as simple and stress-free as possible.
